RICKY  [May 17, 2005 at 10:17 PM]
Here's a good question - why is Link (Hyrulian) living with humans
dan heron  [May 17, 2005 at 10:42 PM]
and why not? He lived with the Kokiris, Gorones, Gerudos, Zoras, Ritos, etc.
YamiLink  [May 24, 2005 at 07:09 PM]
*Looks close at picture* Ya know, it's times like these that I wish that I knew how to read Japanese...

ganondorf_evil  [Jun 10, 2005 at 01:30 AM]
I'm a big Zelda fan but the graphics from the trailers look like Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.
Miniblin  [Jun 13, 2005 at 02:30 AM]
the clothes & Shapes of the faces look like Crystal Chronicles to
germanlink  [Jul 02, 2005 at 10:03 PM]
the clothes are all very ancient, but back to the first subject, about the link being with humans, remember in TWW that eagle guy said something about long eared girls getting kidnapped, but then you can see everybody HAS long ears, maybe they fixed it this time around, maybe link was adopted?he cant be human,i mean look at the high jumps he makes and how he takes so much pain without dying.
Hylianfate  [Jul 14, 2005 at 09:59 AM]
I think the Long eared gene only runs in the families of Hylian people, making it rececive.
Masio  [Jul 31, 2005 at 12:19 AM]
technically they are all hylian
legendary_link  [Aug 19, 2005 at 02:41 PM]
Link is a descendent of the Hylian Knights.
Forora  [Aug 20, 2005 at 03:41 AM]
Wow, ganandorf_evil is right!
Ashurii 9  [Aug 21, 2005 at 03:24 AM]
these people dont look hylian, they dont have pointed ears!
Kavi_Darkwolf  [Sep 03, 2005 at 05:05 PM]
That big guy has a BONE THROUGH HIS NOSE!!! Yuk!!
Qwuarp  [Sep 07, 2005 at 09:25 PM]
ok where would you get the idea that that guy has a bone through his nose? for one thing, i believe your "nose" is in fact just the area of his face thats under his nose (which is small) and the "bone" is a mustache. duuuuuuuuuuh.
jesustrevinio  [Sep 08, 2005 at 02:40 AM]
I agreee.but it kinda looks like a bone so correct him alittle nicer.
sha  [Sep 17, 2005 at 08:44 PM]
i think he has a mouth mask on. that would explain the horns as there in it.
Skultas-red  [Sep 23, 2005 at 11:31 PM]
He looks kinda like a walrus
Link_kid  [Sep 24, 2005 at 09:05 PM]
these guys arent hylian, they are outside of the kingdom but have some sort of treaty or soemthing with them
.Zelda.  [Sep 24, 2005 at 11:25 PM]
No they eint Hylians, but they look alot like Hyrulians! Why is it that you think they eint Hyrulians?
Lunar6  [Oct 18, 2005 at 09:03 PM]
One reason is that Nintendo calls Toaru village a "neighboring" town to Hyrule. That would give off a sense that it's not a Hyrulian village, just a bordering town. That being said, you can guess that none of the villagers are Hyrulian(let alone Hylians).

Also, I think that guy's actually the mayor of Toaru Village(and Ilia's his daughter).
.Zelda.  [Oct 19, 2005 at 02:58 PM]
hmm.. I'm pretty sure that this is a town with hyrulians.. But Link is the only hylian.... hmm what was it again that made you believe that this town is on anywhere near Hyrule fields?
MOBLIN_SLAYER  [Dec 03, 2005 at 02:34 AM]
The baby looks like one of my cousins in Corpus Cristi.
jesustrevinio  [Dec 03, 2005 at 09:37 PM]
Im surprised that kid can walk.....looks like he is 5 months old.
Lunar6  [Jan 08, 2006 at 11:45 PM]
It was confirmed as a separate village from Hyrule.
Dark Link#1  [Jan 21, 2006 at 10:17 PM]
Did anyone know that "Toaru"means something doesn't have a name! Didn't anyone read that in ZeldaUniverse-Home?
zeldagamesfreak  [Feb 01, 2006 at 03:48 AM]
Who the heck is the guy with the horns coming out of his face!? Oh! It's the Mayor of Toaru!
firehexer  [Feb 18, 2006 at 02:03 AM]
It's not bones, it's mustaches dont ya think?
TheEvilShyGuy  [Apr 15, 2006 at 04:35 AM]
Yeah, white, far-spaced, whiskers.
Twilight Princess Zelda  [May 02, 2006 at 05:29 AM]
hahahaha! thats funny thinking of those horns as a mustache!
Hylian Fox  [May 10, 2006 at 05:06 PM]
Link is Hylian(duh) Hylians are humans(not elves like the Kokiri) and Hyruleans are just normal people who live in Hyrule. These are Toaru villagers, and are niether (and yes that is the mayor who is Ilia's father).
TKB  [May 11, 2006 at 01:22 PM]
Anyone here know medieval history? If Hyrule is a feodal society, the Royal Family controls only the center of the kingdom. All other areas are controlled by vassals. Wonder who's in charge of the area with Toaru... If the old mustachio there's the boss, I just can't imagine him swearing fealty to the King. Comeon, he looks too common to meet royalty
Seventh Sage  [Jul 11, 2006 at 09:55 PM]
these people scare me (runs out of room)
link_luvah28  [Sep 02, 2006 at 04:58 AM]
the kids are sooo cute!!!!! especially the little one! anywho the japanese writings i presume are studies and remiders for key aspects for unique features in the characters like a very round head for the youngest one and an upturned knot for him as well. for the mayor, his sort of obsure head molded by age and his clothing and bangages that could show arthritis problems also actually the thing that looks like a mustache on the mayor could actually be a bone because in some african tribes people will peirce bones through their skin so this could be something similar and you never know it could be some sort of hyrulean body peircing. The two children could have similar clothing for representing that they're are brobably brothers or something. and in the top left corner, there is some writing and arrow which most likely states that there is a big difference and the two children's headbands are very different. so the japanese IS just to differenciate the differences and unique attributes.
