everyone is entitled to their opinion concerning sheik's gender, and here is mine:

sheik is a man. no doubt. if you want proof, look at the official art of sheik (http://zeldad.com/oot/characters/sheik.gif) compared to the official art of zelda (http://zeldad.com/oot/characters/zelda.gif). there is NO way that zelda and sheik are the same person. i think zelda either transforms herself into a man, or takes on the body of a man. zelda's body simply doesn't have hips as narrow as sheik's, shoulders as wide as sheik's, or muscles like sheik's. also, the skin, eye, and hair color completley changes. so, we know the two bodies are completley different. but, you say, "maybe she transforms into another person, but that person could still be female!". if zelda can transform into any person, and she wants to be disguised as a BOY, why would she choose to take the body of another female? the conclusion: sheik is male.

you don't have to agree with me, but there it is...

i personally disagree... but that's because of 1) my own sense of romaniticism, and 2) both models use the same bone structure in the game. coincidence? laziness? a very subtle hint? maybe. but using the skeletal animations as an indication of gender is purely a technical approach... if you want a simpler approach, take SSBM (and they would have asked whether it's a he or she before modelling it) and zoom the camera into Shiek's crotch. There's simply not much of a bulge there, not enough to be a complete reproductive set. My girlfriend and I had this discussion and we decided that Sheik's lack of male anatomy renders Shiek as either female or neutered. It helps that the pecs are suspiciously bulgey underneath those wrappings. Now the questions is, if shiek is male, and he fathers a child, does it get the XY chromosome?

Hmm...does it? If not, all his children would be female. And if he has the XY and is female (not possible I know, but with all these theories one has to wonder) there's the possibility of a YY which would be...the third gender?

I also disagree... It says right on the Shiek's trophy in SSBM. 'SHE also...'! Chibi-Kokiri, I know for sure that a boy can be a girl. Read Keitii's fan fic. Any who, love this picture. I don't want anybody to change they're minds about something. I like other people's ideas. So there. Rating 5/5!
