New Zelda Poster
This is a new Zelda movie poster using the Natalie Portman element from my previous Zelda-centric poster. I didn't bother with more text because I'm lazy. No reason to sugarcoat.

OOhhh, aaahhh. I like. These posters you make are cool. I'd only request one thing: give Natlie some triforce earrings (if you could, that'd be cool). I do like the headband thingey.
Koroks Rock  [Feb 08, 2005 at 07:14 PM]
if i was you i'd adjust the hue and saturation of natalie's skin (select > ctrl U), it doesn't look very zelday. good job on everything else, though some more text would have lent some authenicity

From an artistic standpoint, I chose a pallette that gave me a nighttime feel, dark blues and greens with some gold and a lower light level. In a finished product, I would give more emphasis on the title art and make it scan better from a distance, but this is really something I was doing because I was bored.

Nice
Chibi-Kokiri  [Feb 09, 2005 at 03:03 AM]
who did you use for Link? (I'm assuming that's Link in the background?) I can't don't really recognize him..
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 09, 2005 at 04:11 AM]
It's okay, Chibi, I can't really think of anyone I can cast as Link, so I'm fulfilling my own infantile fantasy by casting myself instead. In my own defence, I am a third generation actor, a martial artist and a swordsman.
Nemorensis  [Feb 10, 2005 at 02:51 AM]
Wow, do you study the work of Shakespeare? I'm in the drama department of my highschool. Nice choices for the color pallett, even if it does cast you/Link in the dark.
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 10, 2005 at 03:39 AM]
Yes, I love Shakespeare. My favorites are Hamlet, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Merchant of Venice, and many others that I just can't choose between.
Koroks Rock  [Feb 10, 2005 at 04:27 AM]
I liked Hamlet OK. and Macbeth and the Tempest were good. But venice drove me nuts. Might have been the situation though... it's hard to appreciate literature when you're required to read it. HOL, I get the feeling you're much older than the average fanart-gallerier (grr nonword). I was one of the oldest people in the last gallery, and I'm only 17.
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 10, 2005 at 05:02 AM]
Yeah, I'm old. I played the original LoZ on the NES when it first came out.
dudeofrandomness  [Feb 10, 2005 at 04:09 PM]
KR = 17 younger than I would have expected, actually from the sophistocation of your comments. Already knew HoL was old...he said he was link in another poster. You should lighten your hair-color to be more like Link's, I thinks. (Ok, i'm not into poetry much at all - or anything literary of the sort, but at least I can rhyme while giving advice)
Koroks Rock  [Feb 10, 2005 at 04:58 PM]
17 is plenty old for my manner of speech. according to the SAT mylanguage skills have not progressed since I was 13, which either speaks poorly of my teachers or worse of the SAT.
dudeofrandomness  [Feb 10, 2005 at 05:20 PM]
whatevs. Let's all take random guesses of how old people are...oh, wait, these comments should focus ON THE PICTURE! I always seem to throw us off a bit. My bad. Or maybe it's KR's. But I'll take the heat
Nemorensis  [Feb 11, 2005 at 04:10 AM]
Hamlet, Macbeth, and The Taming of the Shrew are a few of my favorites that I've either read or watched at a local theatre. And yes, Dudeofrandomness, you are right. Was this made with PhotoImpression?
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 13, 2005 at 12:37 PM]
No, this was lazily slapped together in Photoshop. I really should post things like this, but I can do much better. I'm much happier with the poster I did with only Zelda in it.
Koroks Rock  [Feb 13, 2005 at 02:55 PM]
i think it's usually me. i comment on the pic an then ramble about something very loosely related. ah well, conversation is in my nature. What version of photoshop do you have HoL?
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 13, 2005 at 08:00 PM]
I'm running 6.0 right now. I just wish it weren't so expensive. But you pay for the best, I guess.
Koroks Rock  [Feb 13, 2005 at 10:44 PM]
...or you find a freeware version, such as the GIMP. Or you have family in software developement, like me. But ja, photoshop is the best and it's price reflects that. something about this reminded me of CS, for unknown reasons. (i have a friend who has CS. I have 7, and am at the brink of stealing my friend's copy of CS I want it so bad )
dudeofrandomness  [Feb 14, 2005 at 04:05 PM]
my 30 day free trial of CS just ran out...
CharacterintheBack  [Feb 19, 2005 at 09:28 PM]
That's neat! Awesome! Grand!
Nemorensis  [Feb 20, 2005 at 12:40 AM]
PhotoImpression isn't very expensive, though it isn't the best, either. It's rather good with backgrounds, if you have a PC camera that you're not too lazy to use and upload nature shots into it. Eh, the life of a photographer...
dude_thats_evil  [Mar 03, 2005 at 03:36 AM]
*laughs at random dude* i thought you were going to get the freeware of GIMP, at least thats what you told me. Where is the site in-which you download CS or GIMP?
dudeofrandomness  [Mar 03, 2005 at 05:39 AM]
GIMP @ www.gimp.org and 30 day trial of CS @ www.adobe.com somewhere in that website.

One thing to say...I thought link was supposed to be a blond. Great pic otherwise.I like how you got Natalie into it
hyrulegoddess  [Jun 05, 2005 at 03:29 PM]

Hyrulegirl  [Jun 09, 2005 at 11:35 PM]

IDateZelda  [Aug 11, 2005 at 07:45 PM]
Nice Sword. They should make a movie like this, but what would link's speaking voice sound like? He only yells in the games.
ShadowSage811  [Aug 18, 2005 at 05:09 AM]
