Ruto and Nabooru are my favorite sages. :) I slightly changed her hairstyle letting some of her hair hang loose and also the design of her neck chocker looks different as well, because her original one looks hard to make out to sketch. Hmm her hand looks funny to me. lol

My Dad and I made them over 10 years ago after Ocarina of Time came out. The sword is made of 100% scrap steel and is 32" long with a 2' blade, the sheath is made out of a flattened out muffler pipe with a carved piece of wood at the top. After all of the use i put into them over the years i felt that they needed to be shined up and repainted. This is the final result. So I found myself doodling Zelda the other day (something I haven't done in a long time) and thought, hey! I'll upload this! And here we are, one Zelda pencil sketch later. I definitely think my drawing's improved in the time I was away. =D
I used character art as reference, which is how I was able to draw the detailed hairtie and stuff. (Darn intricate headpiece.) I don't usually draw characters from behind, so I'm pleased it came out so well. I added the sepia tone with my comp- I used mechanical pencil for Zelda herself, and an HB pencil for some of the shading. Hm, if I had more time I'd add a proper dark background, but... Anyway.

It's pronounced "Neh-oos"...i think ^-^ . Anyway, she's a Kokiri fairy, but normal sized. Her point in the story is fairly easy, round up, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for the readers if they check this out. Her friend, a Zora, is Ariella. They live on the island, Hyrule, off in the Pacific Ocean. She has an annoying cousin pixie named Satu, who, really is- ultimately- worse than Navi. Presumably, anyway, since she can't think of anything else but food and annoying humans.
Neus has white-silver hair with flecks of blue. She has wings, too, but they apparently aren't in the sketch. She's supposed to be leaning forward a little- but the scanner cut nearly half the pic off. Sorry, folks.jade2824

She meets up with Mel (admitidly a self insert character) who is a Hylian knight, and together the meet with several other people, some of my own creation, some being OC created by Zelda Freaks from deviantART.com, all to stop a darkness created by Vaati and the Shadow Kin (they come back in this fic) all the while trying to find out what Ganondorf is up to as all these happenings go on (they can't keep track of TWO bad guys at once!)
