LoZ2_Fairy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Fairy Spell166 viewsLink probably had trouble getting the keys, so he's using the Fairy Spell to get through a door in the Maze Palace, in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.
Sprites, official art, and screenshots were references (as well as artistic license). See "Zelda 2 AoL Shield Spell" for why the name of the spell is not in the artwork itself.DBoyWheeler

Link&Me.JPGLink & Me165 viewsI'll explain why it sucks.
1. I had a short pencil with an eraser that barely erased.
2. This was my first time drawing full bodies of a person (or people, in this case) and the position was quite difficult.
3. I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a picture of it with my digital camera.
Anyways... back off girls. Link's MINE.Addie

LoZ2_Candle.jpgZelda 2 AoL Candle165 viewsThe (red) Candle in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, which makes traversing caves MUCH safer.
Here it is in the first palace--Parapa Palace! Crack crack crack the egg into the bowl! (Get it? Oh, never mind.)
Anyway, I used the manual scan as a reference for the candle, and VGMaps.com (with some artistic license) for the palace backdrop.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2_Magical_Key.jpgZelda 2 AoL Magical Key165 viewsIt may not have a lion head, but the Magical Key in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link has the same purpose as the previous game--opening unlimited numbers of doors in Palaces... you'll need this in Three-Eye Rock Palace!
Here it is in New Kasuto Town.
I used the manual scan for reference for the key.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2_Raft.jpgZelda 2 AoL Raft164 viewsThe Raft in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, waiting in the Island Palace.
You'll need this to get to the other continent and continue the quest for the Triforce of Courage.
I used the instruction manual scan for reference on the raft, and VGMaps.com for reference in the palace... with a little artistic license thrown in.DBoyWheeler

Crimbo Link.JPGCrimbo Link163 viewsThis is a little picture I did about 2 years ago, I thought it would be funny to depict Link in a christmas atmosphere. Nothing special, just thought I'd add it... :)Cheebee

link-leaning.jpgLink163 viewsA rough sketch of Link leaning against a brick wall, contemplating his destiny, or maybe thinking about suicide, lol. Just Kidding. It's okay, there's a few minor mistakes, but overall I'm proud of it.Twilight_Zelda

LoZ2MauAndRaByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Dog and Dragon Heads163 viewsMau (the Dog Head) and Ra (the Dragon Head) in the Maze Palace in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.
I learned their names in the Zelda Wiki.
Anyway, the sprites and official art were the references here.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2TektiteByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Tektite163 viewsThe eyeball spider Tektite returns in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. And it's gotten more resilient (not to mention learned a few new tricks).
I had to use a sprite as a reference, so it doesn't look as good as it could've been.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2--Basilisk_Zora.jpgZelda 2 AoL Basilisk (Zora?)162 viewsThe basilisk monster in Zelda 2, Adventure of Link. But it could very well be Zora, hence the name choice.
Anyway, I used a sprite as a reference.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2SkettlarByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Skettlar162 viewsAruroda, also called by his fan-name "Skettlar" from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.
Beware of the fire-slinging tail... it's a "tale" best left untold! (Ha ha, I tell bad joke)
I used a sprite (and the official art from ZeldaWiki) as reference.DBoyWheeler

Wind_Breaker_page_1.jpgWind Breaker page 1162 viewsHeheh. Aryll is the first to be poked fun at.
Yes, I do realize he isn't wearing his original outfit.
READ RIGHT TO LEFT (english), NOT LEFT TO RIGHT (Japanese)!
The panel below the one that has Aryll noticing Linkis NEXT, THEN the one that has Link asleep.
I feel bad for Link. He just wanted some rest. Too bad there isn't any water to soften his fall.Vaati_Lover

LoZ2--Bago-Bago.jpgZelda 2 AoL Bago-Bago161 viewsThe bone fish undead from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.
Perhaps its last moment in life was Zora's lunch?
I used an official art as a reference.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2--Geldarm.jpgZelda 2 AoL Geldarm161 viewsThe giant desert centipede frol Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.
Geldarm.
I used the sprite as a reference. Oh, and between Geldarm and Lowder, I wanted to do an AoL version of Goriya, but forgot--didn't realize it till it was too late. D'oh! Ah, well, you can see Goriya in my Zelda 1 art. Not too much of Goriya changed between the two games.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2--Tinsuit.jpgZelda 2 AoL Tinsuit161 viewsYep! That one hopping enemy in Parapa Palace (in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link)... the one that looks like a dog enemy in armor... it has a name in North America. It's called Tinsuit. So whoever takes care of the bestiary on this site, please note. (In the Bestiary, we only know its Japanese name--WOSU).
Anyway, I used a sprite as a reference for the character. For the Parapa Palace BG, I used VGMaps.com as a reference.DBoyWheeler

Anouki_Link.jpgAnouki Link160 viewsThis is a picture of Link as an Anouki from Phantom Hourglass. Anouki Link is sporting Link's hat (of course, you can't go wrong with that), a scabbard, and - look!- the Master Sword in dagger form! I altered the regular Anouki face to make it cuter, not that it wasn't was cute to begin with. :)myzeldamyrules

LoZ2--Stalfos.jpgZelda 2 AoL Stalfos160 viewsThe Zelda 2: Adventure of Link version of Stalfos. Showing once again how I suck at drawing skeletons.
This one's in Parapa Palace (I used VGMaps as a reference here).
Both a sprite and the official art were reference for Stalfos.DBoyWheeler

LoZ2_Boots.jpgZelda 2 AoL Boots160 viewsThe winged Boots in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, waiting in its chamber in the Maze Palace.
With these boots, Link can levitate over the waters to reach the Palace on the Sea.
I used the manual scan as reference for the boots, and VGMaps.com (and some artistic license) for reference on the palace setting.DBoyWheeler
