split_wallpaper.jpgSplit Natures (wallpaper)837 viewsThis is a relatively straightforward edit to existing artwork that you can find on Nintendo Power magazines (or so i'm told. i dunno, i got it from zeldalegends). the tricky bit was trying to change the pic's proportions without distorting the subjects. i tried at some length to displace the bottom and top to the sides, but once i did so i realized that it didn't work out as a background.
so i scrapped it and went for the rule-of-thirds appoach you see here, twisting the existing side material backwards so as to give the user some space to put their desktop icons. i also tried to apply the sexy new logo, but i really didn't work colorwise. so i just stuck the name over to the right, mirroring the now-classic Unreal Tournament backgrounds.
So the root subject is not mine, i don't take credit for it, but getting it to work as a background was my effort.Koroks Rock

sketchy_link.jpgsketchy, shady, smeary link203 viewsthis was just a quick sketch I had done a while ago that I started to upload when I realized the hands and master sword were skrewed.....I proceeded to erase them and draw them again, then looked at it and saw how much more shaded they were compared to the rest of the pic. Smearing and shading took place and now you have the quick sketch re-done and shaded so it probably doesn't qualify as a sketch anymore. Tonks

sheik is a man. no doubt. if you want proof, look at the official art of sheik (http://zeldad.com/oot/characters/sheik.gif) compared to the official art of zelda (http://zeldad.com/oot/characters/zelda.gif). there is NO way that zelda and sheik are the same person. i think zelda either transforms herself into a man, or takes on the body of a man. zelda's body simply doesn't have hips as narrow as sheik's, shoulders as wide as sheik's, or muscles like sheik's. also, the skin, eye, and hair color completley changes. so, we know the two bodies are completley different. but, you say, "maybe she transforms into another person, but that person could still be female!". if zelda can transform into any person, and she wants to be disguised as a BOY, why would she choose to take the body of another female? the conclusion: sheik is male.
