the wings look really good. I'd make the blade wider though.

hey BH, i'm using your drawing of the master sword to design this. actually, i'm far from done with the wings. and i think they may be getting smaller, not the blade bigger.

really, wow all the sudden people want to make 3D versons of my swords. I order to make my master sword I had to stair at an offical 3D verson of it.

i got the idea from KR on your picture. EDIT: hey, hello people, this thing has been seen more than once, if you're looking at it, comment, because this is a difficult thing to do and i need tips. thank you bounty hunter for your comment.

are u going to be putting the extreme details such as the Triforce located above the diamond thigy, and the little 'half-pipe' shaped lines that are indented... and all that other jazz... but another idea, would be to tile your pic so that you could see it in more than one view... like 4 different (interesting) views...

i'm gonna do all that, but i'll also do an animation. i already have all the frames (all 65 of them!) but i'm having trouble combining them. does anyone know of an open source or otherwise free program other than gimp that can do gif animations? KR would be the one to ask, but as he's gone.... anyone else?
bounty hunter  [Jul 27, 2005 at 07:51 AM]
I tried to download gimp once but it didn't work, I didn't try again cause anything that has the word "gimp" in it, I really don't want to be a part of . Sorry though, I don't know of any free animation programs, I just like to comment as much as I can (seeing that comments are scarce now a days)

you could always take advantage of the "30 day free trials", infact i just got one for MX Flash studio... or something like that...
the_ocarina_of_time  [Jul 27, 2005 at 03:06 PM]
actually, i just got a 30-day trial for MX flash, right now i'm working on making all the frames for it, i have around 30 and i'll probably end up with 60 frames.

Ow, I want to download this MX flash, how can I, is it computer safe, will my parents get mad, is it a good progam. I'm getting so tired of plan old paint . I feel that if I had a more advanced program, my art might become some of the best since a lot of people all ready like my swords, I can't imagean what they'd think if I took it to the next level! I should stop, my just flattering myself .
the_ocarina_of_time  [Jul 27, 2005 at 10:00 PM]
well, for just art, you want gimp. flash is completely safe, in fact whenever you see a graphic on a webpage it's made by flash. it's main use (as far as i can tell) is for animations. gimp is for graphics editing and drawing, plus it's free. it's safe too. for you i would recommend gimp, the only reason flash does anything for me is i had a series of images already made from another program, and flash just put them together for me. if you want, you can get a free 30-day trial for flash from macromedia.com
bounty hunter  [Jul 27, 2005 at 10:07 PM]
Well, I've come to understand what DTE means about his hatred for gimp, I'd rather work to get something good, but a trial is diffrent. I know, I'm very weird but it do stike by with want I think is right. (plus, how would name a progam gimp? It's kinda like a sick joke) EDIT I have to give them my password, screw that, I'll probable just ask my mom if I can get flash for my B-day, which is coming soon.
the_ocarina_of_time  [Jul 28, 2005 at 02:31 PM]
well, remeber flash doesn't really help with drawing pictures, so don't be dissapointed by that. also, i've heard that gimp is an alternative to photoshop, and that most people think it's almost as good, though i don't know what i'm talking about.

Yeah I know. What I really want to do is make cool flashes like HZ does, he's one of my nost favorite artists on the site.
the_ocarina_of_time  [Jul 29, 2005 at 06:04 AM]
actually, for that he used anim8or to make the videos, then converted it to flash. i'm not saying flash is worthless, just don't get your hopes up for 3D rendering. in cases like HZ and my animation, Flash is just the format used to play the video, not the creating software.
bounty hunter  [Jul 29, 2005 at 06:58 AM]
I'm a little confused. Is there a program that is made for making animations, I thought that flash was but I'm not sure now. What about all thoughs flashs on flashplayer.com, do people us diffrent programs on there and just put there work on a flash file???? I'm not taking about the 3D stuff, just the cool cartoony animetions.
dude_thats_evil  [Jul 29, 2005 at 08:09 AM]
some of those are made using flash... but most of the interactive ones aren't... Here just say what exactly you'd like to make, and i'll tell u the best (free) program u could use...
bounty hunter  [Jul 29, 2005 at 06:03 PM]
I should probable just stop this conversation. I thought you were against free programs, thats you use photoshop. I'll just stick with what I have now.
