Way back in the day, before the Fall of the old Zeldalegends (ooh, how mythical sounding), there were wars. Terrible wars between the Fan Artists and the Spammers, fighting for the sanctity of the Gallery. They were know as the Spam Wars.
Leading the forces of good (the origianal Artists) were heros such as Imazeldagirl, Ganondorf, Hacker Z, IronKnuckle, Dan Heron, Obsessed_Zelda_Freak, and myself, just to name a few.
Leading the forces of 3vi|_ were spammers such as black_link and his many personas- white_link, red_link, green_link, gray_link, rainbow_link, etc. They sought to poison the gallery by posting unaltered official art and making irrelevant comments. No one was safe.
In an effort to fight the 3vi|_, Hacker Z and I began a campaign where we not only refuted the spammers with our commets, but also with our art. This particular picture is a compilation by me of several brave pics by HZ. I post this pic today in the aftermath of Rhyksha, to remind spammers what waits in the Depths of the Gallery.Koroks Rock07/06/05 at 13:36Koroks Rock: w00t, group hug. yes, the last panel always did ge...

stalfos_bridge.jpgStalfos' Bridge688 viewsThis is also from my Tut, this particular area demonstrating jumppads with a little "encouragement" from two Stalfos. the only excuse I could come up with for having a jumppad was to have a chasm you must cross, but the brige was broken (see the middle of the pic, over the blask chasm).
i'm afraid that the Stalfos is barely in the pic, but they weren't my goal, so it's OK. I was hoping to get a bit more of them though.Koroks Rock07/02/05 at 19:46Ganondorfs-Girl: That is awesome!! Even though we can only see the...

korokent.jpgMakar/treebeard Hybrid Idea1254 viewsAs you will come to know, I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan. I drew this pic after having reread the Two Towers just before it released, using Treebeards line: "My business is with Sarumon with the rock and stone."
Makar and the other Koroks could easily be transformed into ents, should nintendo wish it, but here I tried to find a middle ground. Smooth like the Koroks but towering like the ents etc.Koroks Rock06/30/05 at 02:22vaati_girl: Hmmm.

linkjuggle.jpgHey Sheik!1132 viewsThis little idea was born when I had the image of link showing off to Sheik. Bear in mind that I'm a sheik=girl follower, but even if sheik was a fellow guy, this would make sense. Teenagers love to show off, even when the risks are unthinkable. It's supposed to be set in Death Mtn. Crater, sorry the semblance is so bad.Koroks Rock06/30/05 at 02:21vaati_girl: ooo...That's gotta hurt. Link's being an idiot.

Noseplug.jpgThe Noseplug Incident901 viewsThis is a very old joke, one of my earliest pics. The idea was that Link, having been recently beaten up, has accidentally used Navi as a noseplug, because he's too bloodied to tell the difference.Koroks Rock06/30/05 at 02:19vaati_girl: OMG

weebl minish.jpgMinish Link meets Weebl1428 viewsSeeing the distinct lack of Minish Cap art, I once decided to slap this together. I decided to use my favorite flash characters, Weebl and Bob, as particpant, for no reason whatsoever but a blatant plug for the duo.Koroks Rock06/30/05 at 02:14vaati_girl:

Flash 6
This is a short, small flash I've made using Minish and OoT official art (and a screenshot from the GCN movie) in an effort to humorously explain why there's always a Link around when there's a Zelda.
Note that I'm trying to set a basis for how to introduce flash, so people can know if they need to dampen their volume, or be ready for a long wait, or even have a compatable browser.Koroks Rock06/23/05 at 02:17Nemorensis: There's one question answered.

inevit1.jpgInevitability DeMotivator1246 viewsI don't know how many of you know about DeMotivators ( www.despair.com ), but they're a fun bunch of posters which i happen to be a big fan of. After viewing some of the new Z'05 screens, the idea came to me to mix some of my reactions to the pics with the basic concepts of the DeMotivators. Here we see Link facing the Inevitable.
It happens to be 800x600, so it can be used for a background or small printout. Made in photoshop, during my Independant Study of graphic design, very quickly and easily.Koroks Rock06/23/05 at 02:13Nemorensis: Scrag HZ. He's sicker'n all of ya put t'gether. Lo...

icon-screen copy.jpgLoZ-Cube Logo (in production)690 viewsSo here's a screenshot of me working on the new icon/logo/thing for LoZ-Cube, my game (which will be made available to the public this weekend!)
This goes to show that there are all sorts of alternatives to the dreaded MS Paint, if you'll just go googling. This is doubly productive to boot.Koroks Rock06/22/05 at 19:58Koroks Rock: the hardest part about this program (aside from sh...

dekunut.jpgMD2 Deku Nuts550 viewsThe logical ammo for the slingshot was deku nuts, and here they are. Three simple spheres facing together. The skin is a rather low quality scan from my OoT guide, twisted appropriately (i'm afraid it's rather unconvincing ingame). And the stats are:
Number of Vertices: 78
Number of Skin Vertices: 78
Number of Faces: 144
Number of Frames: 1
Average Size of Triangles: 352

bomb.jpgMD2 Bomb513 viewsThis is the new bomb ammo for the Bomb Launcher in LoZ:Cube. It enjoys a somewhat higher polycount than your everyday ammo, because it's a sphere, which requires more vertices. Unfortuneately the skin sux. Stats:

Number of Skin Vertices: 57

hyruleshield1.jpgQ2 Hyrule Shield441 viewsThis is another 3D item i've whipped up, in direct emulation of the 64 version, just with a few more triangles and vertices. I realize it doesn't look like much without the skin, but it was one of my first Q2 projects, and I'm proud of it.Koroks Rock06/22/05 at 19:10Fyrborn: ooh shiney........(runs off with sheild)

hotness.jpgTwilight Princess Background904 viewsAnyone else think the new screenies are hot? specifically this one? i do.
Simple pic, all i did was crop the original a bit, expand the canvas, make two lines, and blend in the new logo. i did a little bit of color adjustment and added in a gradient so the two elements would go together better, but overall this is a very small change from the original.

Healthboost1.jpgQ2 Piece of Heart506 viewsThis is a simple health-boosting item in my game, but as you can tell, it is modelled after the life-expanding pieces of heart local to all the zelda games. it was actually quite a challenge to map out all the triangles without getting confused.Koroks Rock06/22/05 at 19:03Fyrborn: I wish I had a heart....A 3D heart that is!! whoo!...
